Prada Feather-Embellished Satin Sandal

Tamu McPherson was the first person I saw in these shoes. Paired with a sequin dress, a soft red lip, no jewelry, and a beautiful smile, that post on Instagram rocked my entire world. In a world where sequins always command the spotlight, something else managed to steal the shoe.

The feathers!
The oversized button!
The block heel!

It was the perfect balance of extravagance and comfort. Lord knows I hate a turtleneck but this pairing has made the loose-fitting dress + block heels combo look extraordinarily chic. Since this post, I've been excitingly awaiting to see how these shoes will be reinterpreted by my fav. Thus far, I've seen Keyshia Ka'Oir pair the red version with denim and a sheer blouse for her bachelorette festivities in Vegas this past weekend. Anna Dello Russo also styled the red version, opting to pair them with a yellow sequin mini dress for a bold color blocked look. I can't wait to see what the girls pull together for this phenomenal piece!

The shoe seems to sold out in most sizes and colors at many retailers, Bergdoof Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Barney's have a few still left in stock. May the odds be forever in your favor.

This is totally a thing that is happening right now and I am utterly committed to making it happen for my life. Whether worn with a frumpy dress for a cozy aesthetic or paired with a mini and ruffle blouse for something more tailored, there really is no wrong way to make this trend do wonders with your wardrobe. It's one of the more easily adaptable lewks to date.

Major brands such a Calvin Klein, Tibi, and Balenciaga are making beautiful and interesting options but I am absolutely certain that your local thrift store has a wonderful collection in both womenswear and menswear, the latter of which a tailor can make magic with. Easy, peasy, and stylish.

White Boots Are Still On Trend in 2017

A lot of our favorite Fashion Editors and Style Influencers have been wearing white boots this past year and it doesn't seem like this trend is slowing down anytime soon. I first noticed it earlier this year at the Fall-Winter Fashion Shows and prayed they'd quietly disappear but.. here we are in September and, nevertheless, they persist.

While I don't quite understand it, I can admittedly appreciate the cleanliness that they bring to a look. They create a very strong and bold pop, which most people crave when it comes to accessorizing.

If I were ever to try the trend, I'd definitely opt for a more ruddy white boot (like the Marc Jacobs Women's Ryder Lace-Up Leather Booties Lily Alderidge wears above) as opposed to the more pristine white look which seems to be more preferred. Or maybe a patent gray, like the Christian Dior Grey Patent Calfskin booties Shiona Turini wears so effortlessly below.

But don't sleep on Shiona; she slays the white boot as well!

While I can't suggest which way to go with this trend, I can suggest you take it to God, the Creator, the Universe, R'hllor, the Lord of Light, the Old Gods, the Seven, or whatever higher power you believe in - in earnest prayer. Let he, she, or them guide you.
