Nameplate Necklaces

While in Egypt last Fall, I fell in love with this super cool nameplate my tour guide was wearing. After complimenting him on it, he quickly responded with "Do you want one for yourself? I can take you to my jeweler."

And with that, I added a cartouche nameplate to pair with my beloved Farsi nameplate that I purchased on Etsy years ago.

I'm very much into stacked necklaces and my name so.. I am planning on purchasing a Hebrew nameplate and an English nameplate some time soon. And, no, I'm not sure why my first name plate wasn't in English despite living in America.

Keeping it Casual

Found pretty places to take some while in Baltimore this past weekend. I enjoyed the impromptu shoot so much that I've really considering being intentional about style pictures again. So I've spent the majority of this week looking into creating an in-home photo studio. Then... I remembered I'm not sure I want to delve heavily into such structured shot. So, now I plan on spending this weekend looking into outdoor locations I can easily shoot at. Here's to hoping I can get it together!

Coconut Curry Sweet Potato Noodles

As a person who hates cooking but enjoys eating mostly plant-based meals as opposed to fast-food, I've come to the unfortunate conclusion that I will have to compromise and cook.

Thanks to the encouragement of my friend over at Whole30Noir, I found myself cooking more and researching healthy meals led me to this wonderful recipe for coconut curry with sweet potato noodles.

The recipe only used a handful of ingredients and very easy to follow. All you have to do is:
  • Sauté veggies in coconut oil and seasoning
  • Add coconut milk (please stir before because it seperates!) to make sauce; simmer on low for 15 minutes
  • Make sweet potato noodles in a separate pan, sautéing in oil, diced onions, and a pinch of salt. I bought my noodles pre-made so I didn't use a spiralizer.
  • Mix sauce and noodles for magic!
